This decision, attributed to prominent trade uncertainties, influenced the company's stock, which closed at $6.05 on May 7, 2025, resulting in a market capitalization of approximately $2.88 billion. This unexpected move comes after various analyst ratings and assessments. Keefe, Bruyette & Woods downgraded their rating for Payoneer to 'Market Perform' in December 2024 but retained a $12 price target. STAAR Surgical Forecasts China Revenue Rebound for Late 2025

STAAR Surgical Forecasts China Revenue Rebound for Late 2025

47 minutes agoSTAA

STAAR Surgical Company has outlined its financial expectations for the fiscal year 2025, specifically highlighting anticipated improvements in China during the latter half of the year. The company foresees a sluggish start with minimal sales of Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICLs) due to high inventory levels and soft demand. However, STAAR projects a potential upswing, estimating ICL sales could hit between $75 million and $125 million in the second half, influenced by the performance of refractive procedures in China. Supporting this positive outlook is the planned mid-year launch of the EVO Plus lens, which is anticipated to have a higher average selling price. This strategic move might bolster revenue as it aligns with STAAR's focus on reducing import risks by keeping additional inventory within China, considering the geopolitical uncertainties and tariffs that could affect supply chains. Beyond China, STAAR Surgical expects global ICL sales, excluding the Chinese market, to land between $165 million and $175 million, marking a growth of 9% to 15% from the previous year. While the company's forecasts hinge on current market conditions, various factors such as government policies and shifts in consumer demand could impact these projections. As reported by STAAR's official communications, these strategies reflect a concerted effort to navigate and capitalize on market dynamics globally.

Boeing Sets 2027 for New Air Force One Delivery Amid Delays

Boeing Sets 2027 for New Air Force One Delivery Amid Delays

1 hours agoBA

Boeing has proposed a new delivery timeline for the much-anticipated Air Force One aircraft, setting 2027 as the target year. This update comes from Darlene Costello, the acting assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force. The two Boeing 747-8 jets, designed specifically for presidential transport, were originally scheduled for a 2024 delivery. In light of the delays, Boeing and the U.S. Air Force are working together to realign project requirements to potentially meet the revised timeline, although the Air Force has yet to confirm this new proposed date. Reuters reported that to expedite the process, specific security standards at Boeing's production facilities have been temporarily relaxed. Meanwhile, the government has also engaged L3Harris Technologies to retrofit a Qatari Boeing 747 for interim use as Air Force One, with plans to have it operational by this fall. These delays have attracted attention at the highest levels, with former President Donald Trump vocalizing his dissatisfaction over the prolonged timelines. His involvement included discussions aimed at expediting the project, with notable figures such as Elon Musk also being part of these consultations. Despite the scheduling challenges, Boeing remains a pivotal player in key aerospace projects.
