TAT Technologies Ltd. is expanding its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services to include Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), focusing on Boeing and Airbus fleets. This development follows strategic agreements with industry giant Honeywell. Through its subsidiary, Piedmont Aviation, TAT has signed long-term MRO service contracts for Honeywell’s widely-used 131 Series APUs, which are crucial for Boeing 737 and Airbus A319/320/321 aircraft.
To support these agreements, Piedmont Aviation has invested in facility upgrades, allowing it to service the GTCP331-500 and GTCP131-9 APUs for Boeing 777 and A320/B737 aircraft, respectively. Furthermore, as reported by PR Newswire, TAT recently secured a five-year, $17 million contract with a major North American cargo carrier to provide APU maintenance for Boeing 757 and 767 fleets, further establishing its presence in the North American market.
In addition to the new contracts, TAT has extended a five-year agreement with a global air carrier, projecting revenues of $50 million from its APU MRO services. These strategic moves underscore TAT Technologies' intention to strengthen its role within the APU maintenance market for leading aircraft manufacturers like Boeing and Airbus.
